Is a velvet bed suitable for a warm climate or "hot sleepers"?

Many people worry that velvet is too heavy for summer. However, modern upholstered velvet frames only cover the exterior of the bed. The mattress still sits on a breathable base (like slats or a platform top), meaning the bed won't "trap" heat any more than a wooden or metal frame. The fabric itself is actually quite breathable when made from high-quality polyester blends.

Can I use a velvet bed in a minimalist or "Modern" room?

Absolutely. While velvet is often associated with "maximalism" or "glam," a velvet bed in a neutral tone (like Charcoal, Sand, or Dove Grey) with a simple, un-tufted headboard looks incredibly modern. It adds "visual warmth" to a minimalist room without making it feel cluttered.

Is velvet "scratchy" or "static-heavy"?

Our velvet is selected for its "silk-touch" finish. It is exceptionally soft to the skin—never scratchy.
